Year 7 at Hallett Cove School is part of our Middle School and is the transition entry point into High School for students coming from our own Junior School, or other Primary Schools.
Throughout the year, our students are supported holistically by a Homegroup teacher and a dedicated year level leader. These people, along with our Student Wellbeing Team, other Middle School leaders and our Middle School Secretary provide support for each of our students to further enhance their experience.
Developing strong professional relationships with each of our students is key to our success, and our Homegroup teachers will teach each of their students for at least two subjects where possible. This middle-schooling philosophy allows for positive student-teacher relationships to flourish. Additionally, our Pastoral Care programme provides students with appropriate guidance and support as they embark on their High School journey.
Our students complete seven subjects each semester and undertake English, Humanities, Mathematics, Science, Languages as well as one compulsory Technology subject. For Health and Physical Education, students may trial to be part of our specialist Soccer or Volleyball programme. For the Arts, students may elect to be part of our general arts, music or dance programme.
