In Food and Hospitality courses, students learn and apply practical skills and explore contemporary trends and issues relevant to the food and hospitality industry. They will learn food preparation and service skills and apply these to scenarios that simulate real life in the café and restaurant industry.
These course have both a practical and written component, allowing you multiple opportunities to demonstrate your understandings. You will work both individually and in groups to produce food solutions and use your creativity to present high quality dishes. Students will learn skills in areas such as patisserie, food safety, healthy meal production, food waste and Indigenous ingredients.
