A selection of High School students recently participated in Operation Flinders, an experience designed to transform the lives of young people through quality remote outback adventure programs.

Over the course of 8 days, the group hiked 100km, carried their equipment on their backs, slept under hootchies, made dinner over the fire, overcame problem solving challenges, navigated and completed a high ropes course. The trip was physically and emotionally taxing.

Students demonstrated immense growth regarding their problem solving, teamwork, leadership, and communication abilities. The conversations held around the campfire each night highlighted the deep level of reflective thinking that the students were doing. The experience was beneficial to the students and has created lasting memories and experiences for all involved.

Thanks to Mr King, Mr Albanese, and Mr Heywood for taking the time to provide this opportunity to our students.
