CONTENT
Course content will be a selection of the following:

Historical Knowledge:

Students will investigate at least 3 of the following topics about an Ancient Civilisation: Daily life, Military conflict, Political Power and Authority, Religion, Material Culture, Literature

Conduct an inquiry:
Students will explore an area of individual interest, extend their research skills and enrich their understanding of the significance of an idea, a value, a belief, a practice, an innovation, a person, or an event, from the ancient world to its own culture or to another culture/s, or to another time or to another time and culture.

Skills and Applications

A collection of tasks to demonstrate students historical knowledge and understanding. These tasks can include Essays, Source Analysis, Text Responses, and Presentations.

Connections

A collection of tasks designed for students to make connections between different ancient civilizations and/or the modern world. These tasks can include Essays, Presentations or Responses.

Externally Assessed: Inquiry task

Students select an area of individual interest and conduct an in-depth investigation into their chosen topic. Students present their findings in an inquiry based essay or presentation.
