In English, students will develop their understanding of the world and themselves through the study of a range of texts, including film, media and literature. They will develop their ability to read, speak, listen and view with growing depth of understanding and analysis. Students will produce texts of increasing complexity such as narratives, persuasives and essays.

Students in the senior years can further develop their writing and understanding with a choice of English, and Journalism electives. English as an Additional Language or Dialect is offered to eligible EALD students, with a strong focus on the function and expression of language.
